THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED 

Although the track management at ERS has tried very hard to accommodate us at their new track, it has been decided to postpone the Nov 15-16 event until after additional track improvements can be made.  We look forward to re-scheduling this event early in 2009.  Check our web site for updates.

NASA FL Track Programs:

1) HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT GROUPS (HPDE 1-3):
HPDE Grp 1= Beginner: 
In-car instructor included with HPDE 1 entry fee.  Limited number of HPDE 1 slots available each day!  
HPDE Grp 2 = Novice "solo". 
HPDE Grp 3= Intermediate-Advanced  "solo". (Restricted passing)
HPDE Grp 4= (is not offered at this event.) Those qualified for H 4 are invited to register for  HPDE 3.
HPDE Instructors- requires pre-approved NASA FL instructor application.

2) NASA-TT GROUP:  NASA Time Trial serves as the bridge between HPDE and Wheel to Wheel racing for advanced to expert level drivers in an unlimited passing environment.  Participants compete for series points and prizes for best lap time in their TT car class.   AMB timing transponder required.  TT license required. For Group 4 level drivers only, by application and approval.

3) Wheel to Wheel NASA RACE GROUP:  Current NASA racing license and fully prepared race car with rollcage and safety equipment as per NASA CCR required to participate.  AMB Transponder required. Click RACING for related info.  Compete for regional points & trophies.   

ERS & Motorsport Park Information:

Directions to the track: ERS & Motorsport Park is located in northern Florida between Gainesville and Jacksonville.  Track is located on SR 100 adjacent to Keystone Airport, approx 8 miles south of Starke, FL.

IMPORTANT Track & Paddock RULES for ERS & Motorsport Park!!!

Gate Hours-
The main gate is open from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.    

Gate fee: ESR charges a $10 gate entry fee for ALL participants, support staff, crew members, family members & guests.  ERS wristband, issued at the time of gate fee payment, must be worn all weekend.  

Trailer Drops: Trailer drops on the day prior to the event are provided by the track as a courtesy and are allowed from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  No one will be admitted early.

RV's and Camping:  Participants may camp at ERS only after the camper pays ERS's camping fee of $45 per weekend per tent or $60 per weekend per RV without power or $30 additional per night with power.  Please call the main ERS office to make RV hookups & camping arrangements...352-473-2999.

Power:  There is limited electrical power available.  Participants who have paid for camping or RV hookup will not be charged for use of power. Those participants not camping, but using the electricity will be charged $25 a day by ERS. 

Showers: The showers are located in the south & east paddock near main concession building in the restrooms.  Please be considerate in water use.

Valuables:  Bring what you need to store & protect personal belongings. PDC, Inc, NASA & ERS assume no responsiblity for lost or stolen items. Be prepared in the case of rain or windy conditions since there is very limited shelter and no covered areas to store belongings while you are on track. 

Speed limits: Maximum speed in ERS paddock is 5 mph.  Speed limit on access roads is 5 mph.  Do not test vehicles or bed brakes on infield roads.

Paddock parking: Canopy supports must be on wooden blocks. Do not pound stakes or make any holes in ANY paddock surface.  Paddock parking is restricted to non-paved areas....No parking on asphalt paved roads in the paddock.  Do not fuel cars on paved areas except as permitted on pit road during racing competition.  Any fuel spills must be immediately deluted with Cold Fire.  If you must temporarily jack a car on a paved area, you must have medal or wood under the jack and jack stands. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Disposal of Waste Fluids & Environmental Debris:  Use of the waste drums is mandatory for used oil, antifreeze, brake fluid and other polluting mateials. Spillage will not be tolerated.  Participants must remove all used tires, batteries and unwanted parts.  Violators will be charged steep fines!

Personal Paddock Vehicles: No one under 16 yrs may operate a vehicle anywhere on ERS grounds.  Anyone operating a vehicle or any other mode of transportation including bicycles must have a valid state drivers license and liability insurance. Speed limit is 5 mph!  No motorized vehicles in the grandstand area.  NASA insurance prohibits the use of roller blades, skates, skateboards and scooters (without a seat ) ANYWHERE on the track premises by ANYONE at any time.

Noise:
Un-muffled engines must not be run between 8:00 PM & 8:00 AM.  There is a quiet hour on Sunday between noon and 1 PM. 

Children: Children under 18 years of age must be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Pets: Absolutely NO PETS allowed.
Music: Please do not play loud music.  Be considerate of neighbors.
Campfires: Campfires/Ground fires are not allowed.
Pit Wall: Standing on pit wall or applying tape to it is prohibited.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly forbidden in all of ERS's buildings.

On TRACK Hours: The roadcourse is closed to all vehicles from 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM.  No exceptions.

Off Road Areas: The off-course areas within ERS (including but not limited to the rally stages and the go kart track and trails) are closed areas & may not be utlilized at any time by participants in this event.

Pit Lane: Only registered drivers, passngers and crew members with ESR wristband may be on pit lane.  No one under age 18 may be on pit lane other than minors properly registered as drivers in the event. No spectators on pit lane.

Track Clothing requirements: No one is allowed access to the hot pits with shorts or open toed shoes. Drivers & registered passengers driving on course must wear long pants, long sleeved shirt and closed toe shoes.  NASA requires HPDE drivers & passengers to wear a helmet Snell SA or M yrs '95. '00 or '05; a  sleeved (non-synthetic, preferably cotton) shirt, long pants in a natural fiber, and enclosed leather or natural fiber shoes. RACERS are required to upgrade clothing standards for race sessions to those required as per current NASA CCR including Snell SA rated helmet years 2000 (or newer), flame resistant driver suit, driver shoes & gloves.   

Fuel: On site service will supply racing fuel. Hours will be announced at the Drivers Meeting. We recommend that you do NOT rely solely on this source for your fueling needs. Arrive with a full tank.  If you run out of gas while on track, your day is over! 

Food:
ERS Food concession will be open from approx 8 AM to 3 PM. Please support the food concession.  It is also recommended that you bring your own cooler with extra drinks and snacks since the concession will close early each day.  NO GLASS CONTAINERS allowed on ERS premises!

Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed to be consumed by anyone on ERS premises until on-track driving activities are concluded for the day.  NO GLASS CONTAINERS!

Crew, guests & family members: Participants registered in the event will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of their crew members and guests, and will be held liable for any damages caused by their crew members or guests.    

Track Damages/REPAIR /REPLACEMENT  &  CLEANUP: Damages that occur within ERS premises, whether on the road course or on ERS property, which require clean up, repair or replacement become the financial liability of the driver found at fault for causing the damage.  Damages can include replacement or repair of items such as tire packs, armco, railings, fencing, soft walls, concrete barrier blocks etc. and cleanups that require bags of oil dry.  Payment to PDC, Inc. is due immediately upon receipt of billing statement.  (Note: Track damages that require schedule delays and long track cleanups occur rarely, but incidents of this type CAN happen.  Know your limits and drive appropriately for current track conditions to help us avoid this situation.)

NASA Parade laps: (held for the benefit of kids, family & friends). No charge. Low speed track tour (2 laps) behind a pace car. No passing. Seatbelts for all passengers. No helmets. Family car, SUV etc ok. No motorcycles. Drivers in the tour MUST be registered in the event with Driver Wrist Band. Proper conduct is expected and speeds are not to exceed 40 MPH on straights. Stage on pit lane approx 5 min in advance of start time on schedule.  Late arrivals will be turned away after tour has started.   

NASA Passenger registration: (HPDE 2 & HPDE 3 solo drivers) will occur on the day of the event starting 7:30 AM. PLEASE register all passengers by 11 AM. Age 18 & older. Snell 95 or newer helmet & proper clothing for the course required. Sorry..loaner helmets are not available. Passenger will obtain Wrist Band for admittance to the course after signing release and paying a $30 registration fee. NASA holds the driver solely responsible for the safety of their passenger.  Improper conduct while driving with a passenger will result in the loss of passenger priviledges.

Notices:
Your participation in this event constitutes your acceptance of all the rules, requirements and policies set by P.D.C., Inc.; ERS & Motorsports Park ; and those of National Auto Sport Association (NASA) in accordance with the current NASA Club Codes and Regulation rule book (CCR).
  The CCR can be downloaded at www.nasaproracing.com for no charge.

NASA Cancellation Policies:
HPDE:
 Refund less $30 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice in advance of the event, otherwise no refund or credit.  NO exceptions. (No partial credit due to mechanical failure on site..please prepare your car carefully.)
RACE GROUPS: Refund less $30 procesing fee provided that you notify NASA FL within 5 days following the missed event.  No partial refund/credit allowed for mechanical failure or other any other reason.  Once the car goes on track all fees are non-refundable. 

Attn: REGISTERED DRIVERS!
1. You should receive an immediate e-mail purchase receipt from NASA systems after completing your online registration. 
2.  Sprint racers & HPDE instructors will be sent their additional event info and confirmation materials from NASA FL by E-MAIL only. 
3. HPDE & TT participants will be sent an email from the NASA FL registrar approx 2weeks to 10 days in advance of the event to confirm their car number and run group.  Additional event info will be sent by regular mail in a packet that includes a HPDE tech form, event schedule, track map and HPDE sticker for their car.  Packets are mailed starting 2 weeks prior to the event. Please contact us if you do not receive your packet at least 7 days in advance of the event.
4. To avoid delays at the track, contact us no later than 3 days in advance of the event if you need to make last minute changes to you car information, car number or run group.
5.  Check this page for last minute news and updates before leaving for the event.
