This clinic is for advanced HPDE drivers who have no prior instructing experience or instructor training, but have the desire and driving skills to be considered as a HPDE Instructor.  The one-day Instructor evaluation clinic is comprised of classroom training and on-track driving evaluation. Enrollment is limited to candidates pre-selected by evaluation of their application by the Chief Instructor.

Requirements to participate:

*10+ prior events in HPDE 3 (or comparable program) without incident.

*A car with a passenger seat that meets the requirements for HPDE participation.

*A firm understanding of the principles of high speed track driving.

*Ability to demonstrate those skills.

*Excellent communication skills.

*A desire to help others get started in the sport.

*A commitment to NASA-FL to instruct at a minimum of 4 HPDE events per year.

Other details:

Enrollment fee for the clinic is the same as the normal HPDE entry fee. 

Participation in this school does NOT guarantee advancement into the HPDE instructor program.  Each school participant will be evaluated individually.  Graduation of the instructor school and acceptance into the Instructor Program is based upon the ability of the participant to demonstrate the skills required of an instructor during this school.  Those approved to advance into the instructor program will start at Provisional Instructor status and be eligible to upgrade to a full HPDE Instructor License after completing a probation period. 

Instructor Clinic Application:

1) Complete the NASA FL Instructor Clinic Application. 

2) Mail these materials to:

3) The deadline for submitting these materials is 30 days in advance of the next clinic.

4) Candidates selected to attend this clinic will be notified by email.

5) Enrollment fee will be due upon acceptance.
