2 hour enduro race registration is now closed.
*This is a one day event and the start of the 2007 NASA points series for licensed NASA racers and TT participants.
Enduro race, sprint race, HPDE & TT will all be held on the reuglar 2.21 mile road course.
*There is no HPDE 1 or instruction offered at this event due to the enduro race.
*Approved NASA HPDE instructors are invited to register for HPDE for discounted entry fee(eligible to run in both HPDE 3 and HPDE 4 for this price...no instruction!)

1. You will receive immediate e-mail confirmation of your entry after completing the online registration.  Please contact us if you have any questions about online registration or if you need help in determining your proper HPDE track group.  E-mail nasafl@drivenasa.com
2. Registered participants are mailed a pre-event packet to confirm car number and run group.  Packet will include tech form, event procedures, schedule and HPDE sticker for their car.  Packets are mailed starting 2 weeks prior to the event. Please contact barbara@drivenasa.com if you do not receive your packet by 7 days prior to the event OR if you need to make last minute changes to you car number or run group.

HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT GROUPS (HPDE school and lapping):

HPDE 1= BeginnerHPDE 1 is not offered in this event. 

HPDE 2 = Intermediate "solo": Recent graduates of HPDE 1 or drivers newly approved to solo w/o in-car instructor. Retricted passing on designated straights. Point-by required. HPDE 2 will share all track sessions with HPDE 3 drivers for this event only. 

HPDE 3= Advanced "solo": Solo drivers with numerous events at 2 or more FL region tracks. Passing on designated straights.  Point by requried in this event.  HPDE 2 drivers will share all track sessions with HPDE 3 drivers for this event only.

HPDE 2 & 3-Download (debriefing) meetings under the guidance of a Senior Instructor offer continuing driver education and group discusion for the purpose of promoting safety and comraderie on track.  Held after first 3 HPDE 2/3 track session.

HPDE 4 = Expert (amateur) drivers: Instructors, competition licensees, race school graduates, and those pre-screened to run in an unrestricted passing environment.  This group shares track sessions with NASA TT-Time Trial competitors.

HPDE Instructors:
Instructors must go through approval process by submitting FL region Instructor Application.  This event will not offer in-car instruction but NASA Instructors can register to run in HPDE for personal track time for discounted entry fee.

NASA-TT GROUP:  TT acts as the bridge between HPDE and Wheel to Wheel racing for advanced to expert level drivers in an unlimited passing environment.  Participants compete for series points and prizes for best lap time in their TT car class.   AMB timing transponder required.  TT license required.  Dec 30 event counts as the first 2007 TT "points series".

RACE GROUP:  Current NASA racing license and fully prepared race car with rollcage and safety equipment required to participate.  AMB Transponder required. Click RACING for related info.  Dec 30 is the first 2007 regional points race. 

ENDURO RACE:  See Enduro Rules here  Use the enduro mapping guide in the Enduro Rules to select the proper race class.  Up to 2 drivers per Enduro Team.  Team captain is responsible for registering the Enduro Team and paying the enduro entry fee.  

SCHEDULE NOTES: Track time runs from 9 AM to 5 PM with break for lunch.  
HPDE 4 and TT competitors share the same "unrestricted" passing track sessions.
HPDE 2-3, 4 & TT participants receive 4 track sessions...20-25 min ea.  
Licensed NASA Racers can register for enduro only, sprint race only or BOTH.
Sprint race drivers get 1 timed practice session, 1 qualifying session and one 25 min sprint race per day.  Enduro racers get 1 timed practice session, one qualifying session and a 2-hour enduro race....up to two drivers per enduro team entry. 
Schedule revisions may become necessary due to unforeseen track delays or inclement weather conditions.

LOCATIONS: 
Classroom facility is located in the stand alone building paddock central. 
Registration is located in the Media Center base of the scoring tower.
HPDE tech inspection line forms on the paddock side of the pit structure. 
RACE TECH/driver check-in is located in Media Center (base of scoring tower)

Important Info

1) Area Lodging:

2) Directions to the track: From US 1 turn East on SW 344th Street (Palm Drive) for about 3 + miles....When you see the Speedway, continue EAST on SW 344th Street along the south side of the Speedway.  Turn left into the competitor's entrance and get in line by the gate guard station for the vehicular tunnel into the paddock. 

3) Admittance to the paddock starts at 7 AM Saturday.  There is no access to the paddock on Friday evening.  Sorry....There are no provisions for overnight camping at the Speedway. All participants, crew, family and guests are required to sign the track waiver prior to admittance.  No charge for admittance.Those who arrive  after 9 AM should present a NASA membership card for admittance.  Non-members should accompany a current NASA member at the time of arrival or request to be placed on the "guest list" by contacting the NASA FL registrar barbara@drivenasa.com at least 3 days in advance of the event.  Family/crew and guests of an enrolled driver who arrive after 9 AM DO NOT need to be placed on the "guest list"....just inform the gate guard of the name of the driver enrolled in the event for admittance.   

4) Parking: Tow-rigs and trailers are to be unloaded in the paddock area behind the pit structure. Pit garages are for the use of cars registered in the event. Arrive early to obtain a garage space....first come first serve.  Only one garage space per registered car. Family and friends with vehicles must park in paddock area. Bring what you need to store & protect personal belongings. PDC, Inc, NASA & HMS assume no responsiblity for lost or stolen items. Be prepared in the case of rain or windy conditions. Event runs rain or shine. 

5) Paddock Rules: Maximum car speed in paddock is 10 mph. Use caution when re-entering the paddock after track sessions. (Parents NOTE!) No one without a valid state driver license may operate any mode of transportation in the paddock/pits/garage area. Skate boards, scooters without seats and in-line skates are not permitted in these areas. No alcoholic beverages allowed to be consumed by anyone on the track premises. NO PETS are allowed. Dispose of litter in trash cans and dispose of waste fluids in Garges 15 & 22.  Report any spills in garage area. Do not leave old tires at the track or YOU will be billed for removal.  At the conclusion of the event all participants must exit the paddock with all belongings by 6:00 PM. 

6) Proper Clothing: Crew members going beyond pit wall are required to wear long pants and enclosed shoes. HPDE drivers or anyone riding as a passenger must wear a Snell 1995 (SA 95; M95) or newer helmet, a sleeved (short sleeves ok) non-synthetic, (preferably cotton) shirt, long pants in a natural fiber, and enclosed shoes.  
RACERS are required to upgrade clothing standards to those required as per current NASA CCR including flame resistant driver suit, driver shoes & gloves. 

7) Fuel: On site service will supply racing fuel. Hours will be announced at the Drivers Meeting. We recommend that you do NOT rely solely on this source for your fueling needs. Arrive with a full tank.  If you run out of gas while on track, your day is over! 

8) Food: On site food concession will be on site for limited hours for lunch purchases. Bring your own cooler with extra drinks and snacks for family and friends.  

9) Crew, guests & family members: Check-in and sign track waiver at guard station near the entrance. No charge for admittance. Family and friends of an enrolled driver simply need to inform the gate guard of the name of the driver registered in the event.  An adult must supervise minors. No one under age 18 (other than registered driver)is allowed in the hot pits or beyond the pit wall. Driver entered in the event will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of their crew members and guests, and will be held liable for any damages caused by their crew members or guests.   

10) Track Damages/REPAIR /REPLACEMENT  &  CLEANUP: Damages that occur within HMS premises, whether on the road course or on HMS property, which require clean up, repair or replacement become the financial liability of the driver found at fault for causing the damage.  Damages can include replacement or repair of items such as tire packs, armco, railings, fencing, soft walls, concrete barrier blocks etc. and cleanups that require bags of oil dry.  Payment to PDC, Inc. is due immediately upon receipt of billing statement.  (Note: Track damages that require schedule delays and long track cleanups occur rarely, but incidents of this type CAN happen.  Know your limits and drive appropriately for current track conditions to help us avoid this situation.)

11) Parade laps: (held for the benefit of kids, family & friends). No charge. Low speed track tour (2 laps) behind a pace car. No passing. Seatbelts for all passengers. No helmets. Family car, SUV etc ok. No motorcycles. Drivers in the tour MUST be registered in the event with Driver Wrist Band. Proper conduct is expected and speeds are not to exceed 55 MPH on straights.  See schedule for track tour time.   

12) Passenger registration: (HPDE 2 & HPDE 3 solo drivers) will occur on the day of the event starting 7:30 AM unti 11 AM. Age 18 & older. Snell 95 or newer helmet & proper clothing for the course required. Sorry..loaner helmets are not available. Passenger will obtain Wrist Band for admittance to the course after signing release and paying a $30 registration fee. NASA holds the driver solely responsible for the safety of their passenger.  Improper conduct while driving with a passenger will result in the loss of passenger priviledges.

13) Your participation in this event constitutes your understanding and acceptance of the rules, requirements and policies set by P.D.C., Inc. and of National Auto Sport Association (NASA) in accordance with the current NASA Club Codes and Regulation rule book (CCR).  The CCR can be downloaded at www.nasaproracing.com for no charge.

13) NASA Cancellation Policies:
HPDE: Full refund less $30 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice, otherwise no refund or credit.  NO exceptions.  (Sorry, no partial refunds due to mechanical failure on site..please prepare your car carefully.)   
RACE GROUPS: Entry fee for sprint race is fully refundable providing you registered at least 12 days in advance of the event and you notify NASA FL within 5 days following the missed event.  No partial refunds allowed.  (This policy is designed to encourage early registration, but allows for a refund if the car never touches the track surface.)
"Special Event 2 hr enduro" Entry fee id fully refundable up to 5 days in advance of the event, but are non-refundable within 5 days of the enduro.
